The Delaware, Miami, Osage, Peoria, Potawatomi, Quapaw, and Shawnee people, with connections to the Lower Ohio Region, collaborated with the team at Indiana University to bring this exhibit to life. To honor the land and its history, "City on the River," explores the site commonly known as "Angel Mounds," by highlighting how the cultures of this region still thrive vibrantly today.
To reject the common trope of archaeological exhibits being brown and dusty, we amplified the vibrancy of the peoples by using bright colors, bold geometric shapes, and exciting gradients.
