Established as a way to "Americanize" Mexican Immigrants, "La Neighbor" explores the rich history of the settlement house that became a cornerstone of the Mexican and Mexican American community in Logan Heights. It's identity morphing from an instructional facility, to a community home, to an outreach program that still operates in San Diego today.

Truly a community built exhibit, most of the information gathered came from personal accounts and even more personal scrapbooks. Community dances, music and art lessons, cooking classes, teen social clubs, and sports teams all captured in handmade albums. We were inspired with this personal touch and used that as inspiration for the design. Illustrations of key people in the history of the Neighborhood House were also created.
