The performance of "Henry VI, Part I, Part II, Part III," in 2024 was a momentous feat for The Old Globe in San Diego. The theater finally performed all of William Shakespeare's plays since opening in 1935, and "completing the canon," called for a celebration.
Activating their outdoor plaza space as a free exhibit for all, we used banners and periaktoi structures to create movement and rhythm. Designs faced visitors both coming and going, as they highlighted all of the Shakespearian performances throughout the Globe's history, as well as their current community workshops. Illustrated icons reference these iconic plays throughout the graphics. The design was a riff off of their established Henry VI show logo (stylized as Henry 6), and costume designs.
